You can publish an e-show to a Web server not running the Alive e-Show Server or computer which is not accessible via your local area network. This is done using FTP (File Transfer Protocol). For example, if your Web site is hosted by an ISP (Internet Service Provider), you would use FTP in order to publish your e-show there.
When you publish using FTP, you will need to supply the following three pieces of information:
For example, if the FTP site is yourisp and you want to publish into the this e-show folder, the fully qualified path may be: ftp://ftp.yourisp.com/wwwfiles/yourfiles/this e-show/
Warning Do not type the root folder of your FTP site into the Copy slides to this FTP site box because you may overwrite important files stored at this location.
For example, your ISP may have configured the web server so that files published to the above address can be reached by using http://www.yourisp.com/yourfiles/this e-show. Consult with the administrator of your server to determine the correct address to use.
Some FTP servers will allow you to upload files using an anonymous login account. If this is the case for your Web server, when prompted for login information, type anonymous in the User Name box and type your e-mail address in the Password box.
